The Best WordPress Newsletter Plugin to Increase Your Subscribers and Build Your Email List Fast

Even if you’re not looking for a WordPress newsletter plugin to increase your subscribers and build your email list really fast, here’s something you should still check out. (Because I guarantee your competition is!)

I recently did an intensive test-drive of a brand-new WordPress newsletter plugin and it solves an interesting problem: How do you quickly build targeted email marketing lists — even when you don’t have a lot of traffic?

You may have already noticed that slapping up simple email subscription forms on your blog and hoping visitors will opt-in is an NOT effective list building method.

Recently MaxBlogPress just released a brand new simple WordPress newsletter plugin that you can use to increase your email subscription rate WITHOUT needing to increase traffic.  It’s called a ‘Subscribers Magnet’ because it uses technology in some unconventional and unique ways to prompt your visitors to subscribe. In fact, it could also be called a WordPress comment email capture plugin because it can be set to automatically email anyone who leaves a comment on your blog to ‘remind’ them to subscrtibe to your newsletter!

Seeing is believing, so go ahead and watch this short video to see it in action:

Briefly, let me tell you about some of the key features.  You have the option to add your opt-in form anywhere on your blog, and actually ‘entice’ your visitors to join your list in a very friendly manner.

You can add your form to your blog’s sidebar, footer, within the post itself and even in the comments section — where people are already responding to your content.

The most exciting part about this little WordPress newsletter plugin is that you have full control over the look, feel, location and functionality of your forms; the plugin works with any major autoresponder (like AWeber, GetResponse, iContact etc.).

In the hands of responsible marketers who understand the value of building a list of email subscribers, this plugin is so powerful, it could triple your sign-up rate almost overnight, without you having to get more visitors to your site than you’re already getting.

For example, if you actually get 100 unique visitors to your blog on a regular basis and you convert 5% (on average) to subscribe to your list, meaning 5 visitors opt-in, then using this new auto-filling WordPress newsletter plugin, you could get more like 15 new subscribers instead, from the exact same amount of traffic!

So if you understand the power of optimization, you’re going to love this subscriber’s magnet plugin — that’s for sure!

Imagine your visitors landing on your blog… this plugin will automatically fill the visitor’s name and email into the opt-in form on your blog. They won’t have to type in their email and name anymore. It’s all done for them, on auto-pilot.  See the WordPress newsletter plugin in action in this video here: http://www.maxblogwordpress.com

You should use this WordPress newsletter plugin only if:

  1. You want to double, triple and even quadruple your subscription rate ‘overnight’ – and do it over and over again, day and night, week after week, month after month.
  2. You are sick and tired of not getting optimum list conversion and want to get the maximum from your blog’s real estate by placing your opt-in form in strategic, non-intrusive locations, where anybody can see it.
  3. You want to show the opt-in form on the footer bar, which is highly visible but not obnoxious. Very good for turning first time visitors into subscribers.
  4. You want to SEND an “automatic” and highly-personalized ‘thank you message’ by email, on the first occasion someone comments on your blog. Think of the possibilities! In that message you can invite them to join your newsletter or rss feed. It’s another “friendly” reason to bond trust with your readers and get them on your list, in a non intrusive way.
  5. You want to take advantage of the unique tracking available for each subscription method – you will know for sure which forms perform better than others; with this new found knowledge, you’ll really be able to boost your sign-up rate like never before.

  1. HI Lisa and Alicia!

It’s been a while as I took Linda and the kids on a much needed vacation. I read about your optimization plug in but my question is simple: Setting up the blog… I haven’t been pushing it as much as I needed to finish my product but I have my ethical – opt-in, shopping cart…etc. But I haven’t fully developed the site. In fact, I’ve stopped working it as I wanted to focus on the product. Now that the product is nearing completion (an audio course called THE ENTREPRENEURIAL SAMURAI) I need to make my site the way it needs to look.

My question is do you provide tutorials in how to build out your site? I’m using wordpress.org but like I said, I just haven’t gotten far as I focused on the product. I love the idea of the plug in to help build the list but I’m not quite there yet. I’m looking for the fastest, easiest, and least expensive way to build out the site/blog.

I recently received the physical box of Brendan’s material – did you use that to step-by-step build the beautiful blog/site that you have?

    Hugs to you both!

    Ray

  2. Hi Ray,

Congratulations on your new product… it sounds terrific! Your questions about providing tutorials for building a successful business blog (optimized for marketing and sales conversions) is timely. :)

Alicia and I have TWO upcoming product releases that specifically address what you are looking, especially IF you want to “Do-It-Yourself” and just need the specific direction on how to get it all done. (If you want a “Do-It-For-Me” package, we also have that. It just depends on whether your priority is keeping costs down or getting things up and running fast.)

Brendon’s stuff does not contain the specific instructions on how to set up and build out a WordPress blog. I have done a ton of research to find a WordPress theme that does all the things we need as business owners and marketers (not bloggers) and this Socrates Theme is by far the best I have found. (I am creating tutorials now for simple instructions on how to set it up!)

In the meantime, these are the specific steps I recommend to anyone setting up a blog for their business and/or to promote and sell products:

    1. 1. Get a keyword focussed domain name – I use GoDaddy.com
    2. 2. Website/blog – You can quickly and inexpensively set up a blog with free web software from WordPress.org and hosting with Hostgator. If you have never set up a blog before, I highly recommend using these Step-by-Step WordPress Video Tutorials. (I have set up 10 blogs and I STILL refer back to these excellent tutorials!)
    3. 3. Lead capture – Easy to do with the Socrates WordPress Theme
    4. 4. Auto-responder – We use Aweber and Subscriber’s Magnet WordPress plugin
    5. 5. Posts/videos/offers – This is your unique message. Use video as much as possible and be sure to focus all of your content around keywords that your target audience is searching for
    6. 6. Products – Describe the benefits (in the eyes of your target audience) of your products or services and give your prospects easy ways to purchase
    7. 7. Merchant account/shopping cart – Paypal.com or 1Shoppingcart if you want to use a secure affiliate program
    8. 8. Follow-up – Use your email auto-responder or pick up the phone and call your prospects to stay in consistent contact

I know there isn’t much in the way of “how to” in that list, but it’s coming! It’s never too soon to start building your list so don’t be afraid to get an opt-in form on your site.

    I hope that helps!

    Peace,
    Lisa Hanfileti

I’m like you Lisa, plugins are sexy.

@Ray. you might consider using weebly.com to create your site. It can be totally free or be hosted by them for a very minimal amount per year. The templates are great as is the service and the tools are the easiest ones I’ve seen in this industry.

It actually is so good that my partner and I are creating websites for local businesses using Weebly and teaching them how to modify any and all aspects should they wish to.

I can’t say enough about how great a tool it is. You even have the ability to attach a blog to it.

  4. Hi Marie,

Thanks for the vote! :) And for the tip on Weebly. I’d love to hear more… especially about how you are turning your knowledge, skills and low cost tools into a successful business. Great job!

    Peace,
    Lisa

    Lisa,

I’m with you on this one! Plugins are all that and a bag of chips!

For me anything that streamlines my activities and eliminates the manual labor of optimizing my blog is appealing.

Yes they are sexy, these are a must have and there are so many benefits. The cost of getting somebody to set all this up would be so expensive. I like how it adds an opt in on every post with an auto fill for returning visitors. You can surly find out how many opt ins you can really have instead of wondering how many you might have had.

  7. Hi Lisa:
Well girl you have my vote. I can see this one will help us get more subscribers. I really hate to take the time to fill in everything. This is making life easier.

Remember take care of your best Friend. YOU!
